L’Oréal has announced its acquisition of the French Laboratoire Sanoflore, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of certified organic cosmetics products.

Founded 20 years ago in southeastern France, Sanoflore manufactures and distributes through pharmacies and specialist shops its ranges of cosmetics and aromatherapy products. Sanoflore handles all the stages in the aromatic and medicinal plant chain, from cultivation with partner farmers to the finished product. All Sanoflore cosmetics products are certified by Ecocert and labeled as organic products. Sanoflore employs 147 people and will become part of L’Oréal’s Active Cosmetics Division.
